Clio Cup championships
Renault Sport Technologies is proud to announce that eight national Clio Cup series will be held in 2012 : France (the Renault Clio Cup Elf), the UK, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, China and Germany (the Clio Cup Endurance Speed Trophy), with a separate championship, the Bohemia Cup, also taking place in Slovakia, Czech Republic, Germany and Austria. While the French series will be organised by Renault Sport, the remainder are all run by officially approved promoters.
Open only to drivers competing in one of the eight national series, the Eurocup Clio brings the category’s leading lights together under the World Series by Renault umbrella, with races taking place at four prestigious tracks : Spa-Francorchamps, the Nürburgring, Paul Ricard and Catalunya.
As well as an invitation to a Megane Trophy test drive session, the 2012 Eurocup Clio champion will receive a €60,000 grant to help them compete in next year’s Eurocup Megane Trophy or one of the Formula Renault 2.0 championships.
