Having worked with a number of car manufacturers in Europe, the USA and Japan, Van den Acker took up his current post in 2010, replacing Patrick Le Quément.

The Dutchman quickly made his mark, enlarging the Renault diamond at the centre of a radiator grille stretching from one headlamp to the other.
