Unveiled to the world at the Moscow International Automobile Salon on 27 August 2014, the Renault Sport R.S. 01 completed its first laps in public at last season’s final World Series by Renault meeting at Jerez. With just a few weeks to go before the start of the 2015 campaign, you can relive those exciting few months in our exclusive new video.

As iconic as any concept car, the Renault Sport R.S. 01 is a stunning piece of design offering exceptional performance. Its lower-slung body, which sits just 1,116 mm off the ground, is underscored at the rear by an adjustable wing and diffuser.

Powered by the same V6 3.8L twin-turbo engine as used by the Nissan GT-R, with turbo pressure being adjusted to deliver in excess of 500bhp and a maximum torque of more than 600 Nm, the Renault Sport R.S. 01 sits somewhere between a GT3 and a DTM in terms of performance.

In heading up the project, Renault Sport’s engineers worked with the very best technical partners, developing the car in record time and giving it the kind of performance specifications that will allow leading drivers to express their talent to the full.
