Alpine F1 Team have an excellent opportunity for a highly talented Programme Manager to significantly contribute to the company’s project planning process for future car programmes.
Programme Manager – The Role
Reporting to the Head of Programme Management, you will be working closely with our chief designers to synchronise Aero/FSC/R&D/Delivery and ensure scope and priorities are achievable at all times. Key responsibilities include:
• Defining project plans corresponding to scope as defined by the chief designers
• Update the project plans, monitor progress and generate the relevant KPIs
• Generate, from these same project plans, tasks with clear target dates and appropriate skill set for resource allocation
• Define Production master plans after discussion with Delivery, recording the drop-dead-dates to hit the required target events
This crucial planning position will work with the lead designers, updating and maintaining the mid-level design plans for the future cars and/or for in-season upgrades, and producing the corresponding weekly reports to raise the needs for actions. The post holder will be interacting with numerous stakeholders across the team and always striving for continuous improvement.
Programme Manager – The Person
The successful candidate will have a strong project management background, be highly computer and numerically literate. As this role interacts with all levels of the team it will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Previous motorsport experience is essential, with a perfect understanding of modern F1 car construction, design and manufacturing processes.
