Renault F1 Team have a fantastic leadership opportunity to join our team at a tremendously exciting time in our history within Formula 1. As a Principal Aerodynamicist, reporting to the Chief Aerodynamicist, you will lead a substantial part of the aerodynamic development of current and/or future car projects to deliver increased aero performance on track. You will be leading an excellent and talented team to continually drive forward the success on track of Renault F1 Team.

Principal Aerodynamicist – The Role

In this position, you will lead a large group of aerodynamicists to conduct CFD and experimental aerodynamic projects, develop clear conceptual directions for the group, as well as agreeing clear performance objectives in consultation with other leaders within the aero department. You will oversee projects including concept scheming, design, testing and analysis. You will play an important role in constantly improving the accuracy of CFD and WT models to deliver track aero performance and well as increasing efficiency in all aspects of aero department processes. You will also work closely with the aero performance group that analyse track aerodynamic results to understand and improve correlation of result among CFD, WT and track.

Principal Aerodynamicist – The Person

Candidates must have a first class knowledge and experience of CFD and experimental aerodynamic development and a proven record of delivering track aero performance. Good leadership and ability to motivate and inspire a highly talented team of aerodynamicists are essential qualities for this role. We are looking for creative and driven individuals, with experience in a similar role or environment within high level motorsport.
