This radical version of New MÉGANE R.S. TROPHY-R has been designed with aerodynamic and technical efficiency in mind, underpinned by a total focus on improving performance. The foundation was a design tested by both computerised fluid dynamics and a wind tunnel to ensure the front-rear balance was optimal and that aerodynamic drag was minimised from the very beginning.
KEEPING IT COOL
A distinctive feature of New MÉGANE R.S. TROPHY-R is its new Carbon-Fiberglass composite bonnet with NACA (National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics who set the standards for airflow) air intake. With high intake but low drag, the duct optimizes the cooling of the engine compartment under high speed stresses. Cooling at speed is boosted by an extractor under the engine, while side louvres also help the cooling process to improve engine efficiency. An optional dynamic air intake on the left side can also replace the R.S. Vision lights.

CUT THROUGH THE CROWD
The lower bumper blade of the New MÉGANE R.S. TROPHY-R now provides an even better aerodynamic balance between the front and the rear. Fairings under the front shield and under the frame smooth air flows to the carbon diffuser with F1-type tailfins, resulting in increased stability compared to the Mégane R.S. Trophy.
