The curtain came down on the 2016 Paris Motor Show on Sunday, after two weeks of intense activity. More than a million visitors flocked to the Parc des Expositions at Porte de Versailles, confirming Paris as the most popular motor show in the world!
The 4,000 sq. metre Renault stand was busy throughout the fortnight and the various themed day were all successful. Fans and interested visitors were able, for example, to find out more about the world of Renault Sport by meeting drivers and engineers present at the event.
Near to the Formula 1 and Formula E race cars, the main models from the sports range were showcased: New Clio R.S., Twingo GT and Mégane GT. The popularity award was won by Clio R.S.16, its radical design clearly impressing visitors: on the Paris Motor Show’s Instagram account, a photo of Renault Sport’s latest creation was in the top three in terms of the number of likes!
The uncontested star of the Renault stand, however, was Trezor, a concept car that paves the way for electrical sports cars with its sleek GT lines hiding a Formula E-derived engine. Jean Ragnotti and David Praschl, one of Renault Sport’s test drivers, even had the privilege of getting behind the wheel!
If you missed this event, you can take a look at footage and pictures from the show and note that the Geneva Motor Show is due to take place on 7-19 March 2017. For Paris’ next show, you’ll have to wait until October 2018!
