Le Mans, 1906: at the wheel of the Revolutionary Renault Type AK, Hungary’s Ferenc Szisz made history in winning the first-ever officially organized “Grand Prix”.
Budapest, 2016: 110 years later, Renault’s Hungarian subsidiary celebrated this anniversary. The emblematic restaurant of the last century, the Gundel hosted an exposition about this event during the running of the Hungarian F1 Grand Prix. Alongside the legendary Type AK, the public had the chance to travel back in time in admiring the R.S. 16 and the latest creations of the Renault Sport range.
The day concluded with a convivial evening, bringing together the Renault Sport Formula One Team and the drivers as well as the journalists and guests of Renault Hungary.
