Renault Sport Academy Driver Sacha Fenestraz has set his sights on picking up from where he left off at Silverstone last weekend as the FIA European Formula 3 Championship heads to Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, Italy, for round seven.

Sacha enjoyed a superb outing at Silverstone, storming to a second pole position of the season before collecting a brace of second place finishes from the trio of races.

Although Sacha remains eleventh in the Drivers’ Championship, an accumulation of 42 points from the weekend sees him close the gap to the top five to 39 points.

Misano is a new addition to the European F3 calendar for 2018, and hosted the two-day pre-season test in April.

The French-Argentine teen showed promising pace at that particular outing and was the quickest of the Carlin machines, comfortably running in the top five across the two days.

Sacha Fenestraz: “It’s going to be an interesting weekend, as it’s my first-time racing at Misano. We did a test there in the winter and we know it’s a hard track for overtaking. The key points will be qualifying as we’ll need track position in the races. Our qualifying pace looked good in Silverstone and I’m preparing with my team this week to make sure we are well prepared. I’ll be working very hard to keep this form up. We want to be in the top five and build on from a positive weekend in Silverstone. I want to do even better for the upcoming race weekends.”
