Renault Sport Academy Drivers Christian Lundgaard and Marta García are back in Spanish F4 action in Jerez as they aim to brush aside a mixed weekend in Barcelona last time out.
At the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya last weekend Christian saw his lead at the top of the championship cut to 42 points.
The Dane was uncharacteristically off the pace across the weekend, but was able to take a second place in race one and a fifth in race two.
Christian, champion of this year’s SMP F4 NEZ championship, will be aiming to get back on the top step of the podium in Jerez as he aims to extend his advantage in the series.
Marta also endured a frustrating weekend in Barcelona as she couldn’t convert her strong practice pace into points.
The Spanish teen topped the timesheets in the opening practice session around the 4.655km circuit.
But Marta had to settle for an 8th in race one and 9th in race two as she targets a strong haul of points in southern Spain this weekend.
