“The whole season has been amazing and it’s great to cap it off with a rookie season win. Throughout the season I have learnt so much and it’s obviously a very good start to my career in single-seaters.
“Winning the championship in the previous round was an amazing feeling, but I did make a mistake in the race which sealed the title and it cost me the victory! These are things I will continue to learn from. It was very hard to win during the season but I have worked with a team who always give me positivity and we have worked hard to win the title.
“I would like to say a special thanks to my manager, mechanic and engineer and a massive thanks to MP and Renault Sport for making it possible. It’s time to finish in style in Assen!”
