Picture Perfect : Austrian Grand Prix

Many of the photographs that you see from the scenic Austrian circuit feature flowers, trees and rolling hills. However I have chosen this shot taken at the final corner of the twisty circuit. A huge Austrian flag is painted on the run-off areas and it allows us to compose this image with impact. Using a long telephoto lens and filling the frame with colour creates this bold shot, made even better by the shower of sparks flying from the underside of Nico’s Renault R.S.18 as he is at maximum attack during qualifying.
