Picture Perfect : Canadian Grand Prix

Montreal has always been a favourite of mine, the home of the Canadian Grand Prix since 1978. Situated just outside the city on the Notre-Dame Island, the track is a mix of a street circuit and a purpose-built track, which makes it interesting to shoot at. Take a wander through turn 3 and 4 and you are on the edge of the St-Lawrence River in the woods, here you need to find a break in the trees that you can pan through. In the afternoon stood on the outside of the track the sun is creating shadows which only partially lights up the trees, with a very low shutter speed you can follow the cars creating a wonderful dappled sunlight effect, giving a real feeling for the speed!
