Picture Perfect : Japan Grand Prix

After a washout earlier in the race weekend we were greeted by wonderful sunny weather for race day and Typhoon Hagibis seemed a whole world away! This is one of my favourite shots of the race. It is taken looking down on to the sweeping Turn 2, by composing the shot with the car in the top-corner of the frame and using the glistening highlights of the tyre wall you get a glowing foreground that compliments the moody backlighting of the track’s surface. Pre-focusing on the track and simply waiting for Nico to take the perfect line creates this moody shot.
