Renault Sport Racing and DP World Present: Enabling Smarter Conversations

The third and final video in DP World’s three-episode mini-series features European Tour Chief Technology Officer, Michael Cole and Renault Sport Racing Chief Information Officer, Pierre d’Imbleval who open up about the pivot both organisations have made during the COVID-19 crisis and discuss how innovation, technology and data will impact the way in which golf and Formula 1 return to a new norm.

Both share incredibly difficult roles in an everchanging and evolving industry. They touch upon the similarities between their jobs and sports and the need for decisions to be made that are backed by data and technology.

Golf and F1 are arguably two of the most data driven and technology intensive sports and both explore the challenges and opportunities that the pandemic has provided. They speak with incredible openness about the reliance on innovation and technology and how they have adapted when global sport was put on hold.
