One of the few drivers to jump from Formula Renault straight to F1. Kimi Räikkönen took on Formula Renault in Great Britain. After four learning races, he dominated the winter trophy and confirmed his huge potential with seven wins from ten starts to win the national title in 2000. He also picked two impressive victories in the Formula Renault Eurocup. Quickly spotted by Formula 1, his rise was dazzling and he joined the elite the following year before winning the title in 2007.
The rich career of Robert Kubica began with a learning year in Formula Renault, followed by a run for the Italian title in his second season. After a stint in F3, he returned to the Renault scene in 2005 to become the first-ever driver crowned in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series. This led to his first taste of F1 power with Renault F1 Team before his debut in the pinnacle during the 2006 season and his one and only win at the 2008 Canadian Grand Prix.
